Meet our Booksellers:

Mike Rainey: Mike is the face of A Novel Adventure. Part owner, on-site manager, and history student at College of Idaho (sometimes). Mike loves Phillip K. Dick, Lao Tzu, Dashiell Hammett, Pina Coladas, walks in the rain, and puppet shows.

Jem Wierenga: Jem was not born with this first name, which coincidentally echoes both the nickname of his home state (Idaho) and his astrological sign (Gemini). After 20 years of responding to “Jeremy,” he sought to shorten this common appellation, and after reading Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird – which demonstrated the masculinity of the name - he decided to make the plunge and remove three letters. He was unaware at the time that he shared the name with two female pop-stars.

Jem loves classic literature and philosophy, counting amongst his favorites Kawabata’s Snow Country, Voltaire’s Candide and Kuhn’s The Structure of Scientific Revolution.
